Starry Starry Night

We left China for good a week ago and have been decompressing in Hawaii for a week. We stopped in Tokyo for two days also but that wasn't for decompressing. We return to Peavine tomorrow and are looking forward to seeing family and friends and eating good Peavinian food.

Last night we drove to the coast of the Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island and watched the steam rise from where the lava runs into the ocean. Then we drove up the mountain and enjoyed the best view of the Milky Way we've seen in years. In Shanghai we were lucky to see Venus once a quarter but here we could see thousands from horizon to horizon and over the expanse of the ocean. I had seen this view before but I was very happy to get to share it with G-man this time.
